Branding ? You do BRANDING ? Isn't that like what they do to cattle ? Doesn't that REALLY hurt ?
Yes .. yes, I do ... yes, it is ... yes, it does. When should we schedule your appointment ? :) OK, so I admit to being something of a smart-ass, but then again when you get the same question 20 times a week, it gets a bit old. Yes, branding hurts, and no, not many people get them. But when they do get them ... and they are well planned out and taken care of, they produce some of the most radical, and coolest scarring around. Why would anyone want to do that to themselves ? Try asking the person who's done it. You will be guaranteed to get as many different answers as there are people walking around with them. Getting branded by your college fraternity is probably the most well known contemporary reason for getting it done. However, there are plenty more. In the BDSM community brands are used to mark slaves ... property of their Masters for life. Masters have also been know to get brands, showing their devotion to a slave, although this is a bit more rare. Other people get designs, initials, patterns ... all of which have meaning to them. What means enough to you to have it permanently seared into your skin ?
